BRAVE NEW GIRL (2004)

talkington wrote and produced the tv movie "brave new girl," which premiered on abc family in april, 2004.

based on the book "a mother's gift" by britney and lynne spears (who also produced), "brave new girl" is about holly lovell (lindsey haun), a small town texas girl with modest means but big dreams. we follow holly as she struggles at the prestigious haverty music conservatory in philadelphia, far from home and feeling very much a fish-out-of-water. and as if her musical education was not enough of a challenge, her flamboyant mother, wanda (oscar-nominee virginia madsen), takes a job at student cafe hangout and temporarily takes up residence in holly's dorm room.
