INTERNET BIO

while amy's primary focus has been on writing and directing traditional narratives for film and television, she is also accomplished as an interactive, new media filmmaker, where she strives to experiment with new kinds of storytelling.

in the early 90s, amy wrote and directed interactive articles for the cd-rom magazine blender. then, in 1996, amy directed "first comes love," which was one of the first online soap operas for theknot.com. pre-streaming video, it told the story through text and still images.

in 2000, amy co-wrote and directed the 360-degree-video short "the new arrival" for which the new york times named her "one of the few women to break out on the internet." critically acclaimed as "ingenious" and "ground-breaking," the short was an online hit and also screened in numerous festivals, including the first-ever sundance online film festival. "the new arrival" eventually landed in a film history textbook as an important example of interactive storytelling.

in 2003, amy directed "our very first sex tape," which was conceived of as a viral internet short, playing on the internet obsession with sex tapes. to date the film (which has no sexual content) has gotten over 2.5 million hits on atomfilms.com.

most recently, amy created "confessions," an interactive web project which was released on atomfilms.com in august, 2007.

"confessions" was selected as an official honoree for the drama series category in the 12th annual webby awards.
